We had our first Turkey egg today :), nice and huge it is too!!!. I shall be putting one of two in incubator 1 at the weekend, as this will correspond with chicken eggs that I set after the next
hatch (due on the 11th).
I think I wore myself out yesterday with all the work I've done, as I only managed a couple of hours today. I moved the Polands into the run the white Pekins were in, the white cockerel is now with the Silver Birchins as the white girl is in the shed sat on some Call Duck eggs :). I dismantled the end run (the run that the Polands were in) today, along with the house. I do have to say that I am rather pleased, as this house was one of the first I built (about 18 months ago) and there was not a single mite or any sign of there being any in there at all. Next up is to finish off taking apart the double run/house that I started yesterday, but the wind is biting cold today and I just couldn't stay out there too long!, so hopefully will do that tomorrow along with the house the red Pekins were in as they've also moved down to one of the double hutches.
We sold our buff laced and silver laced Wyandotte bantams today, so have the other double hutch free now.
My wife's anthology has now been published and is available to buy now from Amazon at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Lust-for-Blood-ebook/dp/B00C51ARA0/ref=sr_1_8?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1365009446&sr=1-8 or checkout her website at http://www.charmainmariemitchell.com
